The Lewis County Clerk performs the following functions:
- Administers elections and voter registration within Lewis County, including candidate filing and absentee voting.
- Acts as the Custodian of Record for the Lewis County Commission.
- Receives and maintains records of bids after opening.
- Human Resources for employees of Lewis County.
- Payroll, taxes, and reporting.
- Retirement and insurance administration.
- Billing for Personal and Real Estate Property for Railroads and Utilities.
- Issue County liquor licenses.
- Issue notary commissions and notarize documents.
- Budget Officer and accounts payable.
- Set yearly tax levies.
Voter Registration & Elections
To register to vote online, visit sos.mo.gov. Election results and polling locations are available at lewiscountyvotes.org.
Records Request
To receive copies of your copies, please fill out and return the Records Request Form.
County Plats, Maps & Records
- Plat Books: $20.
- Wall Maps: $40-$50.
- County Road Maps: $5.
- Birth and Death Records: Records from 1883-1837 are very limited.
